Choosing a stay with us means choosing first and foremost unusual accommodation in the Dordogne, in a chalet built by ourselves. It also means enjoying a charming village of chalets and spending days in peace for relaxing vacation in the heart of the woods.

Wooden chalet: a comfortable way to visit the Dordogne
To keep you focused on your holiday and exploring the secrets of the Périgord and Dordogne, we've done everything we can to make your life easier! For your vehicle, there is a parking space in front of each chalet. Inside the chalet, you'll find an open-plan kitchen with dishwasher and oven, and two comfortable sofas in the living room. And, just as importantly, the WC is separate from the bathroom. Finally, the windows are fitted with mosquito nets, so you can enjoy a truly peaceful night's sleep away from the insects swarming in the woods.
What's more, a shared washing area and swimming pool are available to all chalet guests. For your breakfasts, we supply you with bread that we bake on site. Your mornings are bound to be merry in our gîte in the Dordogne! And if you want to arrive with a full fridge, we can provide you with an arrival hamper, according to the choices you make.
In addition, one of our cottages in the Dordogne is fully adapted for people with reduced mobility, in accordance with current standards.
Our chalets are located in the heart of the forest, close to the charming town of Biron, in the south of the Dordogne. Sheltered by the trees, our chalets form a cocoon in which you will be delighted to spend a peaceful stay.
Our wooden chalets were built by the previous owner. The exterior is New Zealand style, and each has a 15 m2 covered terrace. We know you'll love meeting there for an aperitif after a day spent exploring the villages of the Dordogne - some of the most beautiful in France! Sarlat-la-Caneda, Saint-Astier, Bergerac, Lascaux, Périgueux... All the sights of the Dordogne are within easy reach of our estate.
Inside our chalets, 50 m2 are available to offer you all the comfort you need for your holidays in the Dordogne. Our cottages retain a Périgord style, in honour of our beautiful Périgord region. The close-knit beams in the roof structure add to the charm. What's more, the high roof pitch will allow your gaze to soar. And the mezzanine overhanging the living room is a great place to relax. Everything is designed to make you feel at home: a comfortable bedroom for a good night's sleep in the heart of nature, views of the woods from every room in the chalet, a swimming pool at the heart of our gîtes estate... Our chalets are like no other! We can guarantee that you won't find another wooden chalet with such charm in the Dordogne Valley. Castelwood is an ideal base for a stay in the Périgord, one of the most beautiful regions of France.
Dordogne: chalet rental for 1 people, and up to 6 people!
Our chalets are ideal for four people. One bedroom on the ground floor has two twin beds that can be made into a double bed as required. Upstairs, a mezzanine also offers a double bed or two single beds. So, depending on their age and your wishes, the children can enjoy a good night's sleep upstairs, or in one of the bedrooms.
However, our wooden chalets give you the chance to discover the Dordogne with more people! They can accommodate up to 6 people. In the mezzanine bedroom, you'll find two futon beds to sleep two extra people. The space is modular, so there's room for everyone. So you can enjoy a comfortable stay in our chalets in the Dordogne with all your family and friends!
