Since the time we’ve lived in the Dordogne, we know the region well. We discovered many hiking trails, mixing nature, bastides, forest and streams. We will guide you according to your desires and your possibilities and share with you our enthusiasm for the nature, the fauna and flora.

We know many other circuits: the region is full of surprises! We will be happy to share them with you. We have
also designed a program to make you discover every day a new area: 18 kms of walking on average every day, fairly flat and moderate efforts.

The Château Biron circuit
This hiking trail offers multiple views of the castle. Between forest and clearing, you travel about 14 kms. Easy and well marked, can be started from Castelwood, this is a walk that will give you a good overview of the surrounding area.
The Château Biron circuit for children
Easy hike for all the family, departure from Castelwood and around the Castle of Biron. This trail is 4 kilometers.
Circuit “des Potences”
With 13 kms, and almost flat, this trail will allow you to visit the Dordogne with your family: it explores the surroundings of the Monpazier bastide, a symbol of the region. Half a day will be required to walk this trail full of ancient stones.
On the way to Bernard Palissy
Bernard Palissy was a potter, painter and scholar of the Renaissance, from Saint-Avit. It is from there that this trail of 22 kms starts. You can visit the museum dedicated to him and the classified church. By taking the forest paths, you will find Lacapelle-Biron on one side and Gavaudun on the other.
Monflanquin / Corconat – Municipalities of Bastides and Castles in the Guyenne region
Many views of the bastide, the churches of Calviac and St-Capraix, the castles of Biron, Roquefère. About 20 kilometers.
Blanquefort on Briolance (Lot-et-Garonne)
The village of Blanquefort sur Briolance is located in an area very rich in archaeology. You will go for a 10-kilometer hike through many orchards and chestnut forests and rub shoulders with a rich built heritage, the church and the classified castle, the Naugarède area, the Sauvetat.
Bonaguil castle trail
This 15 km hike is quite physical but is well worth the practice: from the Bonaguil castle to the church of Lastreilles, you will go through oak groves, chestnut groves and pine forests.
Along the Lot river
This 10 km circuit starts in Duravel, in the Lot, half an hour from Castelwood. It will take you to Mordagnes by the royal road, from where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Valley.
The circuit of Château Beynac
This hike makes you explore the hidden jewels of the Dordogne! Follow the thread of the Dordogne, visit the villages of Beynac and Cazenac, browse the forest: a loop of 17 kms awaits you!
