What is a PRL?
PRLs, or residential leisure parks, are classified as open-air hotels, just like campsites. But there is a difference between these two types of accommodation: a campsite offers mobile homes, bare pitches for tents or plots of land for motorhomes and caravans. A PRL consists solely of "light leisure accommodation" such as mobile homes. And at Castelwood, we've chosen wooden chalets, tree houses and even raised safari tents. All built with love by the hands of the owners - your hosts for this wonderful stay. More unusual than a mobile home, isn't it?
What's more, a campsite usually offers plenty of entertainment. A residential leisure park won't offer as much. At Castelwood, we prefer to offer you the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside, which is more than enough for a wonderful stay. Each year, in high season, we still offer specific activities and services: barbecue, aperitif, campfire, night-time swimming, packed lunches... But don't expect as many services as you would find on a campsite. Staying at our campsite means above all choosing peace and quiet.
