We are absolutely delighted to welcome you for your stay in the heart of our chestnut forest. To help you unwind and fully enjoy the Périgord and Haut-Agenais regions, we have selected the best local events and highlights happening within a 25 km radius of the estate from Wednesday, July 1st to Sunday, July 5th.
Here is your mini-guide so you don't miss a thing:
🍇 Traditional Markets & Foodie Night Markets
This is the perfect opportunity to taste real local flavours! Take a seat at the long wooden tables, buy your duck, grilled meats, or cheeses directly from the local producers, and soak up the festive atmosphere.
Wednesday morning: The traditional market in Villeréal, held under its magnificent historic market hall.
Thursday morning: The grand weekly market in Monpazier (classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France) or the market in Monflanquin.
Thursday evening (From 6:30 PM): The highlight of the week! The Marché de Producteurs de Pays in Monflanquin (a gourmet night market with food and live music under the ancient stone arches).
Friday evening (From 7:00 PM): The Soirée Gourmande in Gavaudun, ideal for open-air dining with a great live concert.
🎠Culture & Festivities
The Villeréal Festival (Starts July 1st): This marks the launch of a highly renowned theater festival. Acting troupes take over the entire town, offering original, vibrant, and immersive performances. High energy guaranteed!
Sunday (All day): For the bargain hunters and antique lovers, the Grand Summer Flea Market (Vide-Grenier) in Monpazier will be animating the beautiful streets of the village.

The perfect weather to visit our proud neighboring fortresses!
The Château de Biron (right next door!) and the mighty Château de Bonaguil await you for a timeless journey into the past—perfect for adults and little knights alike.
Sunday in Gavaudun: Giant traditional medieval wooden games will be set up at the foot of the castle. It's free to play and great fun for the whole family.
đź’ˇ Our little insider tip:Â When going to the gourmet night markets, remember to bring your own cutlery, plates, glasses (and a basket). It's a local tradition here, and it's much more eco-friendly!
